Have you spent any time in Cornwall before? I am often amazed by the amount of Brits who have never been to, in my view, one of the most beautiful places in the British Isles. Each year my family and I will take a vacation to a Cornwall holiday park or, if we are feeling a bit more adventurous, one of the campsites in Cornwall, for a long break over the summer months. For me there is so much to enjoy in this corner of the world and if you put it on your list for a 201 holiday, here are the reasons why I think that you’ll fall in love with Cornwall.
There are accommodation options for every type of traveler down here and whether you are going with family, alone or as a couple, there are all manner of options ahead of you. Over the years we have stayed in boutique hotels, romantic cottages, campsites with yurts and of course some of the wonderful holiday parks in Cornwall, all of which have been delightful offered the perfect place for us to take a break.
Cornwall is abundant with nature and the coastal walks here are simply spectacular. Walking across the rugged cliffs and peering out across the English Channel is one of my favorite pastimes and I am sure that it will be something that you will also enjoy. Beyond the coastline however, or should I say further inland, you will find acres upon acres of forest and deep woodland which makes for the perfect place for adventure and activities. Within the woods you will have the chance to indulge all kinds of activities from archery to climbing, absolving to high-lining, there is so much to do here and families can also enjoy hiking and cycling through the forest paths.
The United Kingdom is not the first place that you would think of when you conjure up an image of a beach holiday but don’t knock it until you have tried it. Not only do the beaches here look magnificent with their soft, golden sands, the county also gets a good run of warm days during the summer and you can spend your time relaxing on the beaches, swimming in the sea and enjoying all of the trappings of a summer vacation. It may not be guaranteed but when a hot day arrives, everyone heads to the beach.
Often what makes a holiday what it is are the people that you are surrounded by and here in Cornwall I would say that you couldn’t meet a nicer people. The Cornish are fiercely proud of their heritage yet they are more than happy for visitors to come and enjoy the county, and they are also happy to show off what they have down here.
This is where ewe stay when we go to Cornwall and I would certainly recommend it.
