Turks and Caicos is a great destination that you absolutely need to experience for yourself. It is one of those places that should get a lot more visitors, but let’s keep it as our little secret. Today I decided to write about what I love about this great place and everything you need to know before you go. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it and experiencing it all for myself.
Why should I go there
Experiencing such a wonderful place from one of the amazing Turks and Caicos villas is just an experience that will keep you coming back for more and more. There really isn’t a better place to experience some of the best weather, beaches and waters on the entire planet. This is no joke, the scenery is absolutely stunning and no amount of words could ever describe just how good it is to be there. I was also stunned by the amazing seafood served there, of course it is totally surrounded by water and the fish and seafood is super fresh and tasty. There is also a calmness that I really liked about the islands that you can’t exactly describe with words and the locals are a great reflection of this.
This is probably one of the main reasons that I would suggest to anyone that they should visit Turks and Caicos. You could visit Turks and Caicos for this reason alone, that is how good they are! The white sand, turquoise waters and the amazing weather all come together to give one of the best beach experiences that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in my short life. Grace Bay Beach is the classic example of a beach that fits this very description and
One of the other great reasons that you need to visit these wonderful islands is the fact that it is home to the third largest barrier reef on the planet. This reef keeps the waters of Turks and Caicos naturally clear and means means that there are some amazing places to dive and snorkel all around the islands. With 60 or so species of coral that form this reef there are certainly some amazing sites to be seen, such as staghorn, sea fans and sea plumes. The aquatic life is also something to appreciate with lobsters, yellowtail snapper, sea turtles, barracuda and a whole host of other marine wildlife.
The Caicos Bank is also another huge attraction for divers that flock to Turks and Caicos and I was lucky enough to see the Molasses Reef Wreck here. This is the dream of every diver: to explore shipwrecks!
Turks and Caicos is not just a few large islands that you can visit, but rather many much smaller islands that you can take the opportunity to explore as you like. It is absolutely fantastic to just charter a boat and simply visit the ones that you want, which is idea if you are looking for a more private experience. Picture swimming on a private beach one day and then finding another the next day, this is very possible and something that I would encourage everyone to try if they do get the chance to go.
